Plot: The showman Roberto has wandered far and wide with his groomed, walk-in whale. Shortly before he reaches a remote mountain village, he dies, and so the whale remains abandoned in the main square. Until one day Sophie, Roberto’s niece, shows up and wants to take over her inheritance. With the unhappily in love Carl, she explores the inside of the fish and sleeps with him – thereby releasing hidden energies and gaining magical abilities herself: from now on she can fulfill the secret wishes of those who spend a night in the whale with her. The village is in turmoil … A highly enjoyable parable of the Alps from the pen of Michael Köhlmeier, which after a very long break can finally be seen in the cinema again...
