Plot: To recall this as just every other erotic "pink film" could be doing "mayonaka no yosei" a horrible disservice. That is in reality an incendiary work of art. The main man or woman is a sociopath with a rabid hatred of the top class, and a simultaneous obsession with one spoiled, elitist "princess," who's on the verge of marrying a successful and wealthy younger guy, to enhance her very own role in society. After brutally raping her fails to derail the wedding, kazou goes even more insane and comes to a decision he will forestall this wedding ceremony at any value. After he by chance stumbles right into a brothel, where he meets the similarly mentally disturbed "canary," a young prostitute who is convinced that kazou is her "daddy," and she will do some thing in the global to hold him by her side. This film has a similar hyper-violent sense to it as kubrik's "clockwork orange," or a demented model of "bonnie & clyde," with pictures and enhancing this is on par with the nice artwork house films of it is time. It's one of these films wherein you could rarely consider what you are seeing. I do not know how this one isn't greater well-known, as it is really one of the excellent films of it's genre.
