Plot: Simona Sana is a young pathologist who works in a morgue in Rome, Italy, which is unexpectedly rocked by a wave of violent suicides caused by a summer heatwave. Simona, exhausted by the harsh heat and long hours worked, struggles to complete her college thesis on natural deaths--until one "suicide" victim is brought into the morgue and identified by a young Catholic priest named Paul Lenox as his sister. He claims that she was murdered rather than committing suicide. Simona partners up with Father Lenox to unravel the mystery while staying one step ahead of a mysterious killer who begins to stalk her once she gets too close to the truth about the suicides.
