Plot: Millicent Redmond, a strong, cold woman, is the unofficial leader of a group of women who reside near a beach for one summer. Millicent enjoys manipulating her pals by exposing their flaws. She manipulates Lina, a nymphomaniac, into making frantic attempts to achieve satisfaction; she plays with Neva and Jean, her lesbian roommates from college; she caters to Mavis, an elderly lady who loves youthful partners; and she helps Pam Lewis get into an affair with a schizophrenic artist. Millicent keeps control until her games result in murder. Finally, her pals realize Millicent's nefarious intentions and turn against her.
