Plot: Author director kevin meyer's tvm begins with the ritualised homicide of a lady to the sound of caruso singing los angeles gioconda and the killer painting her body. However after that it is downhill all the manner. Meyer offers us harry hamlin as a slobby detective in charge of the case, who's unshaven - hamlin's superior tells him he clothes "like a mechanic" - and presumably depressed after the loss of life of his son and cease of his marriage. This information unfortunately would not feed into the fashion of the murder, but rather lets in hamlin to bask in a lazy overall performance which incorporates a difficult man hiss, which de-energises the movie. Hamlin's unprofessionalism leads him into an affair with the spouse of the case's pinnacle suspect, joanna pacula.
